I get cows from local farmers but that’s 5% of what we eat. I have no idea how anyone could source all their food from known sources

It'sone thing to buy food from Walmart, its another level of trust to buy it from a company that sells it as a meal.

Am I the only one that would trust meat from hello fresh over Walmart any day of the week?
I’ve never once purchased fresh meat from Walmart and never plan on doing so.

I implied that they were both bad. Am I the only one who would trust meat from a local butcher with a long time history of quality over some Walmart or hello fresh crap.?

They are raw ingredients that constitute a meal with instructions on how to properly prepare the recipe. You’re doing the cooking.

You don't need a butcher, correct. However, the quality is better and you eliminate another processing step, which eliminates another chance for contamination. That said, Costco is good quality from my understanding, Walmart is not. I am not ragging on op for his temporary illness, but I have never had an issue with raw meats that I have bought. Maybe it's luck, or maybe it's due to having better preferences.

When it comes to food from Hello Fresh or any other packaged meal provider you never really know where it’s been, how hot it got or any other issues.
Same goes for meat purchased from Monteses, Kroger, Brookshires, Costco, WMT Or any place.
