False. Continued drug use is more costly to taxpayers than HIV.

And guess what. The perpetual drug user isn't dying from AIDS or Hepatitis. He is dying from an overdose in a much shorter time span.

I assume it’s something similar with the pipes

Explain.

Why don’t they just legalize all drugs and sell them?

At least that would be a debate with some validity on both sides. But a bill to provide federal funding for a product that is intended for use in an illegal act is comical.

The program targets all drug use. Conservatives honed in on the provision that allows grantees to purchase “safe smoking kits” and turned into a crack pipe debate.

We live in the dumbest timeline.

Well he could be just looking out for his son, isn't he a crack user?

So taxpayers are supposed to be paying for junkies to have a clean way to smoke their crack, shoot their heroin and then also pay for a way for them to treat themselves if they overdose?

Right, solve government problems with more government solutions. The tax payers shouldn't be paying for clean drug paraphernalia. Tax payers should also not be covering the cost of treatment if drug users catch aids or other stds accordingly.
I do my part by not oing drugs and engaging in unhealthy unprotected sex. Why should taxes that I pay go towards frick ups? Not only are they going towards these addicts, they aren't really doing anything to stop the actual problem. The problem isn't stds, the problem is drugs. Stds are merely a symptom of the real problem.
