Ummm, I don’t want to live in a world where half the surface area is covered with solar panels and windmills.

Neither do I. Nor does anyone for that matter.

Which is why I mentioned improved technology and efficiency.

Yeah. I agree.

I think you mean in the trash and then start development of nuclear power plants if they want to actually do something worth a shite.

All these environmentalists seem to have no qualms loading up scenic vistas with ugly wind turbines or solar panels.

There are a lot of gas wells where I live, and I'd rather have gas wells than wind turbines.

Palm Springs, what a lovely mountain view:

What you can't see in the picture, is that most of those don't even work/operate. At least 15-16 years ago, 99% of the windmills in that area weren't doing a damn thing.

Right now the companies trying to lease land are doing some of the same stuff gas and oil land men have always done. They’re jumping out into areas where people have land sitting around doing nothing and offering them what seems like good long term lease money. Some landowners will jump on it and that’s their choice and right.
But as folks start to wise up and realize that the real money would be in getting a percentage of the power production, land owners will start holding out for more and it will cause renewable companies a lot more and will probably slow the spread of solar and wind at least temporarily.
And landowners need to realize that if the companies, which have close ties to our federal government, are purposely trying to leases productive, valuable farm land, there may be other motives besides just placing solar panels and producing electricity.

For once it would be nice for people who do this to call out who they are referring instead of blanket statements that have no real meaning.
