Of course I am. But at least I’m getting paid this weekend instead of going in on my own time.

Everyday feels like Father’s Day to me.

You never ever do that unless you own the business

I’m not being made to do it. It’s my choice . This place was left in such a mess it’s the only way to try to straighten it out.
Yes, salary.

I own my house, but the house next door is a leased property, 3000+ sq ft. They are currently doing work because the former leasers left it kinda rough after 8 years. Previous owners were not good house keepers and the carpet has suffered through 8 years of them, two big dogs, and a cat. Carpet cleaners come asking to "borrow" my water the other day to clean those nasty carpets, of course I said hellz to the no. I get home yeaterday and see them putting a new sprinkler system in the front yard, a front yard which hasn't a snowballs chance in hell of growing grass because of tree roots.
Why not spend the money on replacing that nasty carpet??? Makes no sense. Please help me understand the thinking of some property mgrs.

Any pet damage has always been replaced at any of the companies I’ve worked for, so I can’t answer that. I’ve always worked at complexes, though. Is this a management company or a private owner renting out? That carpet is going to stink no matter how much pet treatment is done. I’d count on having some pretty trashy renters move in next door. Clearly the people renting out the house don’t care what kind of quality they are attracting.
