Interesting. Mr drinks works nights and I HATE it. You guys don't want to be on the same schedule?

I always thought the nights would get easier. I find them getting worse and worse as the years go by.

We would be divorced by now if we spent all our free time together and had the exact same schedule. We are both the type of people that HAS to have some alone time on a regular basis. He gets his each week the nights I'm at work, I get mine during the day on my days off while he is at work. I was pretty honest when we first started dating in telling him that I prefer to work nights and never see myself wanting to work days any time soon....he was totally content with that.
If later on it would benefit me more to go to days(say when I have a kid)...then yes of course I would do what I needed to put my family first. But right now, I'm happier on nights and don't want to take the 10K pay cut I would take if I switched to dayshift. The nurses on dayshift at my work keep quitting one by one they are so miserable...meanwhile many of us on nights have no plans of leaving cause we love it so much.
