i had to google shift dress because i dont know what that means.
it seems like bigger girls wear shift dresses and not sheath dresses as sheath dresses are more form fitting and shift dresses fall straight off the shoulder.

So...that’s not correct at all. I wear both shift and sheath dresses. It’s not a fat vs. skinny option. Shift dresses can be a bit more comfortable and less dressy. So for work I don’t often wear a sheath dress. But, I like both. I’m a size 4...if that means anything to you.
ETA: my arse is more like a size 6...not much I can do about that.
