Yeah I wish I had vodka. Have some zing zang but nothing else. Might just make breakfast and have a claw.

Yo berg.
Strategizing.
Not sure if going to Masons, Olive or Twist, Kalurah St Grill, Parrains or Hunan’s.
You coming in next weekend?

I'm running a 2 day worthy hangover. I stayed up trying to get an early 20s chick over to my place. 3am still on the phone and no dice

Sounds like she made the best choice.
The best thing about being 36 is if you sleep with a chick half your age, you don’t go to jail.

Morning Lithium, LCA
I should not have eaten that leftover catfish poboy and crawfish quesadilla cause it’s nap time now.

Morning everyone
Yall all have heard me discuss my dad and his mental illness(his severe anxiety and delusions related to that).
Well he has been harping on going to the ER the past week or so. He does this, says something is seriously wrong...my mom will finally cave and Uber them to the hospital. They run tests and find nothing wrong and then send him home. This has happened like 5-6 times in the past year or so. We will tell him over and over it is just his anxiety and that he doesn't need to go...but he will insist each time.
So my mom finally takes him late Thursday night...turns out he has pneumonia and is admitted. I had to make numerous phone calls to get some of of his other doctor's appointments, etc moved around. Called to speak with the nurse caring for him each shift to see how he is doing, etc. Answer the phone the numerous times a day that he calls now.
Am I horrible because I won't go to the hospital to visit him? My mom and siblings Ubered over there yesterday and they will today (nurse said he will likely be released today).

Are you the only person that can drive?
You might think about driving him home.

I am. But I live 40-45 minutes away from them.
The hospital is only 5 minutes down the road from their house. It's like a $6-7 Uber ride.
My mom has already said I don't need to come and understands that I just need a break. She is gonna Uber over there today and if he is discharged she will just Uber them home. I even told his nurse that plan and they were fine with that. The nurses have my phone number and will call me when he's discharged. I spent like 20 minutes on the phone with his nurse last night and he went over all my dad's lab results, CT results, etc, etc in depth with me.

Uber sounds fine if they live so close.
Does he have an EHR app that works with the hospital? That would be a great way for you to keep up with his medical info.

shite man, you can’t catch a break. That’s a really scary thing to hear about someone his age Nurse. You know that.

Be there when he is released, make him feel comfortable. He’s your dad and you’re his daughter. You may be feeling resentment, bitterness and anger, but you know what the right thing to do is in this situation.

This really sounds like an issue that needs to be addressed with his PCP. Good luck Nurse

Thanks Lith we will certainly follow up with him. He sees his PCP every 3 months so we will actually see him next month and can see him sooner if he needs to. We just saw his nephrologist like 2 weeks ago so at least I know his kidneys are ok. Was supposed to see his psychiatrist Saturday but had to reschedule, will be talking to him about doing something different with my dad's meds.
I go with my dad to all of his medical appointments. Organize his med chart and keep it updated so my mom can fill up his pill organizer each week.
Even though he has pneumonia...I know he is ok. I know it's not something serious. Even his nurse last night told me that he is doing fine. Said his CT looked fine, his WBCs have been normal the entire stay, and his blood cx negative so far at 27 hours. He's on 2 IV antibiotics, neb tx Q4, 2L of oxygen, and IV solumedrol.
ETA: And has received his pneumococcal vaccines already

I’m gonna call his nurse in a few minutes and find out if he’s going home today.
Either way I’m gonna drive over there later today and take my mom and brother to see him. He’s calling me every 30 minutes now. I don’t have plans today. Maybe if he sees me for a little bit he will relax some.
