yeah, if they wanted to screw him over, they should've had their ducks in a row before making any moves. i don't know why any top tier coaching candidate would want the job at this point if the money isn't a deciding factor.

These administrators who are bending over backwards to sign these coaches to not just exorbitant amounts of cash per season, but for long-term contracts they're just idiots. At this point, there's enough evidence out there that almost no coach is going to be good for a dozen years. Yet they signed him the long-term contract knowing full well that there's going to be a buyout issue. They ought to sign him for those dollars for 3 years or 5 years.
