My understanding of commodities is less than stellar. My only guess is that gold and related ETFs et cetera are just considered more of a safehaven than silver. I'd be curious to know how platinum is performing. I'll say this...holding some actual physical gold bullion is always a safe bet in case the whole system crashes. But sometimes I wonder if ammo and gasoline would be more precious as a bartering tool.

I just did it the lazy way. Trimmed pork, cut into 1" strips. Seasoned salt, heavy fresh ground pepper, garlic powder and honey. Glass baking dish, covered in foil. 3 hours at 205.
Them with some Aldi's onion rings.
