all is good. still nursing. transferred out of the ER to COVID ICU a few years ago, but it's returned to traditional ICU again. I do miss the acuity of sicker than sh!t pts though. I enjoyed the professional challenge.

I did. Quit flying a year and a half after the crash. Needed my feet on the ground for a while.

I enjoyed my wifes paychecks from covid
she grossed almost 100k as a Rad tech with the increased payouts

those covid bonuses were the best. I made bank! Not powerball winner bank- but it was nice!
We lost a lot of staff when covid was deemed 'over" - not willing to settle anymore and I can't really blame them.

I didn’t know about the crash.
I have a friend who is emt/swat and she has asked if I’d like to take a ride in the helicopter. I told her that I understand that flying etiquette requires that if you puke in the aircraft, you clean it up - I respectfully declined.

Oh yeah for sure, it definitely helped out.
She was looking for a new job at Carti - a cancer facility, and they were offering a 20k paycut for her to come join the team
I told her to politely decline it last week and she did. Yesterday they reached back out and said they would be looking at doing a "market adjustment" in that department in December and they wanted her to commit to the job.
I guess them covid checks done dried up and they didn't get any decent interviews at the price point they were offering, if they were reaching back out trying to get her to switch jobs.
