Same here on the opposite end of that storm. Staying in until all this is gone.

We were super lucky in that big freeze. We were only part of rolling blackouts so power was out for 15 minutes once and hour. The only thing that sucked for us was having to go break up the ice in the pool every 30 minutes. Had to set an alarm all night for my husband and I to take turns getting up to break the ice.

Yeah I had friends that are the time while we were engineering terminal C and D for AA at DFW just go to the airport just for warmth because the engineering offices onsite had generators/heaters.

I love winter mostly bc I don’t have to worry about dying if heat exhaustion on the tennis court. I will say that I was legitimately miserable playing a match yesterday for the first time ever. It took hours to feel my knees and fingers again after we played.

Stay safe and warm, Madam!

Just added a 50 count box of hot chocolate to my Costco order.

When I used to cycle a ton, the cold were days I would miss. Winter cycling was the worst.

Imo, impossible, but I'm a huge pussy.

Same with riding.

I mean, I still do it. He’s gotta stay fit… but I HATE every second of being in a cold barn.plus, the horses are always extra spicy.

Grrrl, that sounds miserable

I think winter cycling would suck. Although your body heat is increased and you might sweat, a lot of your body parts aren’t moving very much and I’d expect them to get cold. At least in tennis your whole body is moving. Especially in cold weather bc the ball doesn’t bounce much. Feel like I’ve been in a car wreck after yesterday. It’s was like hitting a cement ball. Arms and back were def overworked.

It is fckking miserable with the wind in your face.

Like that morning ride to the duck blind. A nightmare.

But again, I'm a soft pussy with the cold.

Wouldn't that make mushrooms the alpha predator? I, for one, welcome our new fungus overlords.
