The solution to this problem. Put your vehicle key on one side and the rest of your keys on the other. I use this for when I'm just running into a store or something, I leave the truck running and can lock it with the remote. Also, if you start your car and forget something in your house, you don't have to turn the car off to run back inside and get what you need.
