I have a buddy that works construction, that had a few coworkers putting in windows on the 12't floor of a building up in the NE, and they didnt secure it and it fell 6 stories and landed on the roof of the lower segment of the building.
the crew of 4 that dropped it got laid off, and the rest of the crew was sent home for the week. the property owner and the construction people had to work out adjustments, because the owner was going to fire the crew.
the panel of glass was about 10k according to him - could have been a lot worse if it had gone to street level and hit anything/one

It was muffler packing, not catalytic converter
