I know what you're trying to say, but let me show you some statistics on another view point when it comes to smokers. The tax has gone way up on cigarettes and millions of dollars have been poured into anti-smoking campaigns. I don't think any one particular thing made society stop smoking, but you can't deny that by making them less accessible by making them more expensive while educating the public, has done something. Take a look at the stats.

The OP was talking about personal responsibility and I agree. Also, treat it like crack. And why would the OT say another race is bad and worthless? They already do it for one race.

You may also notice the timeline for smoking to have gone down by more than 50% took roughly 50 years. During that time, education and statistics weren't nearly as readily available. Today we can quantify things much easier and statistics show that pain meds can not only be harmful to the intended end user, but to family members of those who were prescribed the meds. What's interesting is the amount of opioids the US population consumes compared to the rest of the world

Don't we constantly hear about the "black community" from their self appointed leaders?



Personally, I don't see blacks as some monolithic group.

For me, it goes like this. There's the hardworking guys on one side of the levee busting arse to make a living and support their families, and the guys that sit on the stoop of the convenience store and drink and smoke all day on the other side.


Both are black, but they sure as hell aren't equal in my eyes.
