I wore my contact today (only prescribed in one eye) for about 9 hours and didn't have any problems.

Took the contact lens out before bedtime and my eye was super dry. I waited a couple of hours but it didn't go away. The dryness is so bad that I can't sleep, it bothers me even when I have my eyes closed. I don't have any eye drops, but I dumped a shite ton of contacts solution into my eye which only didn't help at all. Since I can't sleep, I had to put the contact back in and now my eye is fine.

Anyone have any advice or experienced this problem before ?

It's because your eyes aren't getting enough oxygen. Wear them less for a week or two then slowly start wearing them for longer periods of time. If you can buy a cheap pair of glasses to wear at home that would help a lot .

Sounds like you have an abrasion. Could also be the beggining of a corneal ulcer. You need to see your eye doctor today.

Yes, that's not normal. Make an emergency appointment and get seen. Don't let anything go untreated when you're talking about your vision.

Personally I have a similar problem but it's much less extreme. My eyes are accustomed to wearing lenses so when I wear glasses all day instead my eyes feel a little dry/irritated at the end of the day--but that's because they're used to having something on top of them. That's normal. What you're describing is not.

Try rubbing a little semen on it
