I drink heavily now(3 days a week) since my wife passed.

Unless you're downing a fifth 3 days week that isn't that bad, but you will end up drinking every day the way you are going. That's what I did, went from a couple of times a week to every day in a little over a year.

I was over half a gallon a day at my peak but this is drinking every single day around the clock basically.

Maybe time to make some friends IRL. Certainly there are some clubs, meetups, religious orgs (whatever floats your boat), etc. so that you can interact with more humans to your liking.

I like to have an occasional pop or 3 or 4 every other night but I know I can't just stay home and do nothing. Btw, I am married and my wife does keep me company but I still to have my own life which she completely supports.

It's not good for us to be the lone soldier though we sometimes like to take pride in that idea. I've seen it lead to declines or worse.

Anyways, I'll be thinking of you brother.

Thanks for all the support and a bunch of options. I had been thinking about the traveling thing a good bit. Planning a trip back to Louisiana to visit some friends before I pick up and move to Jacksonville where I will be till the end.
