My elderly dog recently almost died of bloat. It came on very unexpectedly and I was told that sometimes it just happens.
Her stomach was twisted and they had to go in and fix that and also staple the stomach to the side of the ribcage so it can never happen again. Very expensive with all the procedures and we had further complications and I thought at one point she was a goner but thankfully we are now back to good health.
Point is, you might consider having your dog's stomach tacked to the ribcage now as a preventative measure to avoid possible fatal bloat in the future. Ask your vet for a recommendation.

staple the stomach? Ouchy! Just out of curiosity...how much did that all cost you?

They get hungry enough, they'll eat turnip greens.

I fill up the bowl and refill it when it's empty. My dog is weird I think he only eats when I am home because it will last like 4 days.
