I got Geritol as a gag gift for my 50 birthday. Decided to take them and after 4 days after I started I noticed I didn't ache or hurt as much when I got up in the mornings. Ive been taking them since them.

Multi vitamins are a waste, AG-1 is actually legit

I always enjoy the comments in these threads where people claim that vitamins and supplements are a waste, except for the ones that they take. It never fails. I had started a similar thread on the health board asking for comments on a specific supplement and it was the same thing. "All you need is diet and exercise" or " just lift, bro" etc. But the thing is, nearly everyone takes some form of vitamin or supplement whether its a multivitamin or protein powder or energy drinks; we all take them. My father in law once told me that all vitamins and supplements are a waste of money and that's why he only takes 1 multivitamin and 1 fish oil daily. Lol.

These are good ones to take. People, for the most part, get what they need in their diet. Most of the time, your body will absorb what it is deficient in if taking supplements but the rest will just pass through your urine. Most everyone should be on Vitamin D and Calcium (especially women). B Vitamins will just turn your urine a weird neon yellow color. But certainly won't hurt you to take them if you feel like they work or if you're actually deficient. Fish Oil actually does have some decent studies showing it helps with not only heart health, but also inflammation.

The problem with most vitamins and supplements are that they are not really regulated by the FDA. And any that claim to have "proven studies" are lying to you. Companies will do their own "independent studies," on their own products but you can't really 100% trust them. This is not the same as studies done by the medications you get behind the counter as a prescription.
