Do you say certain words with the same spelling different???

Same goes with same words, different spelling like color (Cuh-ler)= colour (Cuh-ler)


For instance, I say the word "vase" (V-ah-ss) and some say "vase" (V-ay-ss) in most instances. I have no idea how this pronunciation was embedded in my brain throughout my years except watching a lot of British tv along with cartoon's of America or from reading books/singing i choirs, and some words i say are because of Louisiana/southern friends to foreign friends.

What other words have you encountered that had you scratching your head from time to time like these??
