The only thing I've ever returned that I got on eBay was a counterfeit 1877-S silver U.S. Trade Dollar.
As soon as I received it I saw the reverse (tails) side didn't have the two olives on the olive branch the eagle had in its claw so I knew it was counterfeit. The counterfeiter left the olives off and just had leaves on the olive branch.
I notified the seller who was an antique coin store dealer and got my money back immediately.
