She has a point. There is software that will secretly take webcam photos (for example, you can install antitheft spyware that would catch a thief who was using a stolen computer). There was a high profile case of a school principal who installed that software on school-owned computers issued to students, and used it to take pictures of a male student in his underwear.
A Miss USA is likely to be a target of something like that, and if someone knows who she is they could potentially install malware on her computer for the same purpose.

I have sticker on it but not because I fap in front of my laptop.
I put a sticker over it because there are pervs out there with programs that can invade your computer and watch everything you do in front of your computer.
ETA It is a cute round sticker so it does not look out of place as a piece of tape would.
