I did. 3 years at Bama. Then went to Feng Chia University in Taiwan for 3 years.
Used Pinyin and wrote characters over and over and over and over until I remembered them.

Didn't you hear the US is trending back toward nearshoring with the rise in Chinese labor rates? Get out of Chinese and learn Spanish. It's a million times easier to learn and just as useful in today's economy
