Ahh ITLA certification BS.

One of the best scams ever invented and I applaud whomever thought it up to make themselves millions while simultaneously wasting corporate resources at both a monetary and personnel level.

"Hey lets create new, fancy sounding ways to say the same basic shite we have been saying already, but market it as enhanced language that streamlines processes, etc. Get it made into a certification, sell certs and training and watch the money roll in.

Then every 4 or 5 years, we will break out a thesaurus, change some terms around and say it's version 3, 4, etc and everyone needs to be retrained and keep the scam rolling."

We had a COO 7 years ago that got all hard up for this kind of crap and started making every department attend training and get certified.

Help Desks became Service Desks. Support Requests became Support Tickets. Levels became Tiers, etc.

The first time I heard: "You need to take a holistic approach to how you operate", I don't think I could roll my eyes enough. Or "You need to abandon the siloed approach" knowing full well there is not a corporation in existence that will change how they run a company from the top down.
