There are some folks out there that all they like to talk about is Crossfit, whatever that's fine. There are lot of people, including myself, that could give two shits about if you want to do Crossfit or not. People like doing different methods, I've been to yoga studios with my wife, done the regular gym workouts.
My advice is grow some thicker skin and quit worrying about what people do to get fit. If Crossfit was as swamped with injuries and such as some think it is, it wouldn't have made it as big as it is. People are becoming more and more educated and will realize their limits.
I promise you though, more injuries are due to regular joes going into boxes and progressing faster than they should. Trying to increase weight to RX or progressing to fast into highly technical movements. Coaches more than not provide scaled versions for movements and weights. Too many typical American thought processes going on where they want to be lifting 300lb snatches and 400lb C&Js tomorrow. So they try to do too much to fast and the coaches have 11-14 other people to keep up with.
