Baltimore Plot
quote:
The Baltimore Plot was an alleged conspiracy in late February 1861 to assassinate President-elect Abraham Lincoln en route to his inauguration. Allan Pinkerton, founder of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, played a key role by managing Lincoln's security throughout the journey. Though scholars debate whether or not the threat was real, clearly Lincoln and his advisors believed that there was a threat and took actions to ensure his safe passage through Baltimore, Maryland.

There actually was an NYPD officer, John Alexander Kennedy, who claimed to have been the one who uncovered the Baltimore Plot

Why did they call it WW1 if they didn't already have knowledge of WW2 ? Think about that.

have seen that car when I visited that museum. How many others can say this around here? I'm betting only me.
seriously? you are the only person on TD to have been to Vienna? I've been to the military history museum there as well as the spot in Sarajevo where he was shot. as many people as there are on TD, I would never think I was "the only."

Dunno, I didn't know her that well. Seemed like a nice girl, though.
