I have read this entire thread and it's clear that the Catholic Church is in peril because most parents are more worried about sports teams and proms than giving their children the tools they NEED to live strong Catholic lives and to fight evil.
The comments I have read confirm that the Second Vatican Council(1962-1965) reforms have "watered down the true Faith" to a level that Catholics have become APATHETIC to it's teachings. That's why, in my opinion, people today see NO difference between the TRUE church and other wanna be churches.
Today, more than anytime in history, children are in dire need for their parents to guide them in the right direction. Whether you believe or not, your children are begging for your guidance! NOTHING is more important than God, Jesus Christ and his Blessed Mother..
Stop being friends and become Mom and Dad!

I am a Protestant convert to Catholicism and did not fully understand everything about the Catholic faith, but am still learning and being guided by the Holy Spirit. I pray the same happens for you. Once you dive deep, you will realize that the teachings are biblically based. This is the only reason the church still stands today.
