It ain’t a flex by me, it’s a fact from the world of real work. Sorry you assume that’s a brag by someone.

If I owned a real business* and my key people turned off their phones as soon as they leave work everyday, I’m looking for new folks who don’t. Work-related stuff happens off-hours in many various industries. In my world, it’s explained up-front that it’s part of the deal and folks are paid for leaving their phones on and responding off-hours.

*Not a snow cone stand, a business that needs to be responsive to their customers, suppliers, vendors and employees away from office hours.
