I could not agree more with this.

And all I hear from people is about how hysterical he is.

I feel like he tries too hard to have a certain image (one that doesn't fit him really), and he forces taht through his comedy. And it makes him suck. I've possibly never laughed at anything he's ever said (though I admit I haven't seen a ton of his shite).
