Anyone ever use the activated charcoal toothpaste? Looks nasty AF but I hear good things.

Ain't saying it works wonders, but I have seen an improvement over a month. It leaves teeth feeling polished.
I also rinse mouth with 1/2 hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 water a couple of times per week. Oral rinse instructions are on the HP bottle.
Between these two, my gum health has greatly improved.
However, I too am thinking of trying the gel stuff.
