The best approach is to follow NOAA, NHC, and a few good mets and "chasers" on Twitter.
Then, subscribe to Tropical Tidbits and Hurricane Track on YouTube. Levi Cowan, Tropical Tidbits, will give you a good breakdown of a system. Mark Sudduth, Hurricane Track, will give you in depth analysis, and a lot of what he thinks when tracking a system. He also has a Patreon that gives you access to all of his/their live cams and instruments when they are in the field.
