lol in my experience recently divorced women are the hardest partyers on the planet.
I guess because I go in a different circle than most people but most of my divorced female friends don’t even get a weekend to go out - their exhusbands think since they pay child support that’s good enough

Now, I’m not saying there aren’t divorced women that party hard, but the majority I know are primarily responsible for their children because the ex husband was a jerk

150% the truth!!!! Women file for divorce over 70% of the time, and are left being able to use the poor fragile me excuse. All the while the courts are set up to punish the dads just because he married a whoe and had kids with her!!

Thank you. We had the parent wizard and the judge let her off from using it because it was “breaking her phone” then proceeded to send 40-60 text a day text about how I’m a pos for about a year to which I would respond once a day with “please only text about the kids”.
Now no response.

all the while the courts are set up the way they are because traditionally the man was the one that cheated or had other families that were found out about later or left

The court system has not caught up to that, although most of the divorced families i know are ones where dad left - mom may have filed but dad left

Usually with another woman

The only exception I ever see is here on the OT where the husband was a perfect angel and the woman was a whore

I know it's tough.
A lifetime being married to the wrong person is worse than the divorce, and I hate divorce.
On a positive note, your kids are past the middle point of sending checks to her.

When kids are involved it’s hard!! My girls are my entire world, and my ex used them against me as a bargaining chip. Hints the reason the court had no choice once I stopped doing shift work to allow me joint custody.

It takes 2 to cheat!! Women are as big of cheaters as men!!! Maybe more so!!!

Sorry it’s hard for you to understand or grasp the concept that there are good men, and fathers out there.

it does - but that doesn’t mean both the husband and wife are cheating

Most of the married men I know who cheated - cheated with unmarried women they left with that woman and the wife filed for divorce

Like I said - OT seems to be the exception to the rule

It goes both ways!!! Women cheat as much or more than men. They just get to use the victim card at their disposal when it comes to divorce.

According to the empirical data, not your anecdotal stories from what appears to be a pretty low class social group, the OT is the rule and your experience is the exception.

lol

I hang around with mostly stay at home, homeschooling moms - so not at all low class

And if you google ‘who cheats more - men or women’ -it’s men, although women cheat more now than they used to. And I’m not excusing women at all but my first response was to the poster that said
quote:

women are some cold pieces of shite.

And I responded some are because there are a lot of dead beat dads out there as well, none on the OT, of course

And I’m sure all of you work with families and have plenty of experience with this, and since I’m an emotional, irrational woman, my anecdotal evidence doesn’t count

Thank you for the recommendations. I do hope things will get better. I’m processing all y’all advice and keeping my emotions in check. I’m focusing on staying positive. I know it will all work out in the end. It just sucks right now. I just pray my kids see the truth and follow their heart. I do and will continue to do what is right. I will get a consultation with a new lawyer and see my options and go from there.

I considered doing this however I was told that the child support would not decrease and for my skill set and available jobs I’d be working just to pay child support and living in a box. It’s not about the money it’s about the time.

I have to disagree. Courts were probably set this way because the man was the breadwinner.

But I gotta ask if the man is cheating isn’t it with a woman?

My ex wife was the lying cheater and mentally abused our kid. Yet she came out with the better half.

If you can get 50/50 custody child support should be able to be amended, and possibly go away all together.i guess I was maybe lucky that I got that. Never the less don’t ever stop fighting for your kids!!
