Those aren't being torn down, they are being renovated by Collis Temple I believe. It's been going on for a while but should be an improvement once complete.

The old Entergy site is as close to 'mid city' as it is to the Spanish Town Rd. area. I think eventually all of the perimeter of downtown will gentrify... Nicholson corridor, Highland corridor, on through Delpit, Eddie Robinson, and up to Spanish Town Rd.

The entergy site is just the ground zero for a larger plan of developments that extends all the way to just a block or 2 from the Corona.

Here is my real world experience with this type of thing. I have a few friends that are very involved with downtown development in Baton Rouge. The waved the flag far and wide. Until they had kids and moved to Oak Hills.

Entergy site development is between government and North blvd. North st is still 6 blocks away and Spanish town 8, unless you are referring to another development.

Well you would be correct since both are technically in Mid City.

It is. That's where it starts. The idea is to develop the entergy property and then use that as a template to develop nearly every block between there and Main Street West of 19th. It's a pretty ambitious plan which includes a train station, a farmer's market, a brewery, multiple mid-rise residential buildings, and more. It's pretty ambitious, but likely will never catch on fully.

The RDA's plan. That's what I was referring to and is located between government and north blvd from 110 to 22nd(or 21st I don't remember). I went to several of the meetings for it and listened to Andres duany. I like the "plan" if you can call it that since it doesn't really outline much or provide for much since the RDA doesn't have any money and doesn't own any land other than the Entergy site which is only 6? Acres while the whole plan is 100 acres.

Yep. Ain't never gonna happen, but it's nice to dream about.
At least BRAF has some money to play with.
