People are giving the teen so much flak for not jumping in that river to try and help the man. But here's the catch, the man was trying to kill himself. So if they try to save him he might resist which endangers another life.

Secondly what if they didn't know how to swim, the only thing I think the probably should have done was called the police but than I can understand why they wouldn't. Media have made the police out to be evil that they could have felt that they might get arrested for doing nothing.

FOr me, if people wanna die... who am I to stop them?

pretty sure they are getting shite for filming and mocking the guy

if they couldn't swim or were too scared to help the guy, the least you do is call 911

I would say calling for help would be enough. I most likely will not risk my life for a stranger that is trying to take theirs. I have a wife and child to think about.

ETA: My response was in general. I have no idea what's in this video, but based off Salmon's post, I maybe should watch.

These kids are straight trash. They are literally laughing at a man dying. These kids show absolutely zero sympathy towards him. I feel like it could be argued that even if they knew how to swim or had no fear of the police, they still would not have made any attempt to get this man help.
