Ive been wanting a true red terror for a while now and currently have a 60 gallon with a green terror, bumblebee, firemouth, a mayan cichlid, and 4 plecos. The female is far more colorful than the male red terror. Here is my problem.

I can get some true red terror shipped to me at 3.5 inch size from a good breeder with beautiful fish, but my LFS said he could get me a true female but the only female he could get would be 6-10 inches already. 6 might be ok but if its close to 10 im afraid it will kill the rest of my fish since it would be pretty much twice the size as the others. Ive had the other fish for 2 years and several are 4-5 inches or so.

Anyone have any advice? BTW I have 2 sunsun304 b on my tank right now

I would put them in their own tank. They get pretty big and will get very territorial when they start to spawn. The only way I would keep them in a community tank is I had an 180+ gallon tank.

I wouldn't ever put that size mismatch.

That's too much fish for a 60 gallon imo.

Adding in a 6 inch fish is way over the top.
