re: Apple reportedly considering buying Beats for $3.2 billion

It still amazes me that Snapchat was offered something like $3 billion. I believe that is overvalued like crazy. I understand it's based on future cash flows, but do you really think that Snapchat can last long enough to validate that initial buy? I don't think so.

The only reason I can think Beats is that much is, A) Apple is trying to buy them at a super-premium just to buy the name B) reengineer them so that they are actually good quality headphones.

I just don't see why Apple can't invest into R&D to come out with Apple brand headphones. I'm sure it would be a hell lot cheaper and still would make a killing because it's Apple.
