May 8th I was with my best friend headed to the Hyatt to pick up her boyfriend. We got off the interstate around Tulane Ave. Her car, a Honda Prelude, stalled almost as soon as we hit surface streets. We abandoned it and walked to the Hyatt in knee deep water.
We got there and set up at the bar in Hy Tops. The pool which was on the roof started leaking through the ceiling and eventually it was like a waterfall in there. Hyatt have us all free rooms and we got to drink for free all night.
Being 18, we all thought it was awesome and quite the adventure.
