quote:ok, thanks for the advice. My main problem is setting up this new tx with it since it has that crazy SAFE mode thing.
On this plane do yourself a huge favor and move the clips on the control horns for the elevator and ailerons down so that you have only 1/4" travel for the elevator and less than a 1/8" for the ailerons. Do this until you get real comfortable

I thought about buying an RC8B3E, but I just don't have the time for it.
I bought a Traxxas 1/16 ERevo VXL a few years ago. That thing was so stupid fast out of the box.

It was my graduation present from my parents. Well I say that, I think it was the "wow you actually got a real engineering job and moved to Silicon Valley with your girlfriend" present. None the less it was right at $1000 for everything and super fun to build and piddle with. This was in 2000.
Luckily I had it hanging on the wall above the water line in Katrina. I lost everything that I need to run it, but I got a new lexan top for it and painted it up. It just sits on my chest of drawers waiting to be run again.
ETA: I bought my son a brushless RC boat for Christmas, called the Recoil. Thing is stupid fast.

I had a Kyosho Inferno at one time as well. I hated that thing. Way too much maintenance.
