frick that. I know someone who gets shitfaced daily and are complete assholes and I give them shite the entire time and it keeps them off balance.
Guess every situation would be different. They like to have everyone's attention and be in control and if you give them attention but you take control by making them try to use logic but in a crafty underhanded way.
They will not want to look stupid in front of everyone, and will normally submit in shutting the frick up, in fear of looking dumb.

I honestly just don't want much to do with him. I think any confrontation at all, good or bad, will probably end up in a fight. If his immediate family want to skirt the issue then they can deal with the fallout.
