Yeah was Tad 303 for medical. That was 08, that place was a mess during that time.

Has anyone got their A&P license?

I remember us talking about that one day way back. 303 was still a disaster when I was at Pendleton.

Lots of exhaust samples, looking for electron grease, searching for the keys to the basement, and going to other squadrons to borrow their "hover ladders" were always the newbies "jobs!"

Nope seemed like too much hassel for little pay. I know guys that have good pay with, and remember PKL/Bell/Navair dudes that made bank without

Don't forget "cleaning" out the tie down anchors with a spoon.

That and skids isn't like most fixed wing, so definitions, nomenclature, and theory are all different. Lol

Cool. I know brrc has a program now. I would rather go somewhere else though. Any advice?

Oh you mean pad eyes.
When me and friends got caught drinking we were made to stand at parade rest all day while our sncos chewed us out. I shite you not I was night crew got woke up at 7 stood in sun till passdown then they gave up trying to question us so made us clean pad eyes with plastic spoons until night shift was over.
Fkn assholes lol

For A&P?
You need to find someone and figure out how to get your hours/qualls credited then I believe the course is optional. It comes down to interview, and test. But it's a lot of questions IIRC

Bastard!!! Ha! They were a PITA on harriers. Up in the main wheel well . I'm 6'-2" so it was always a contortionist act for me to get in there! I never had a pair of safety boots that didn't have holes in the toes.

Yeah man good luck. Find a A&P book and start making/studying flash cards.

Lol that was our go-to punishment when someone fricked up. Was better than routing up a charge sheet. That is, until one day one a boot decided to file a hazing complaint.

Yeah we had a hazing investigation in flighting (on my friends), kid ended up going UA, then a bit later when I was TAD to 303, we had like 10 Dui's, 1 successful suicide, and 2 kids go UA just in November 08? Lol like I said that's when 303 was bad.

Yeah they weren't in bad location on skids. Also loved aquiring their (Avi) nato gear when we were deployed. We always had fun in flight line

Damn. Things sure have changed since I got out (91). Someone got ordanced taped at least once a week! Seeems everyone got in on it! The benefits of night crew I guess. Minimal SNCO's and zero officers!

That's about what it was like when I was at 39. When I went to 31 the difference was like night and day. Avi division as a whole hadn't had a DUI/ARI in over 540 days when someone finally broke the streak. The CO gave out 72s for every 90 days the division went without one.
