Does anyone know the date when the AF ROTC Corps of Cadets were sworn in in the Spring of 1962 ?
I am trying to help a friend with his personal history.

We are hoping to find guys who attended La Tech in spring 1962, who themselves went on to serve in the USAF after graduating, 1962 or 63 or 64 or 65. The entire corps of cadets were sworn in during the middle of the spring 1962 semester. Surely someone knows someone who remembers that. If you were one of the guys and you ended up with a retirement then you have the record of those additional few days of service. ALL THOSE GUYS are active duty veterans even if they never served a minute after the spring of 1962. With the correct dates, they will all be entitled to benefits such as VA house loan. We need the actual dates. the VA website requires the dates. Thanks guys. If you did not go on to further active duty but you remember the start date that would be a great help.

contacted the Lt Col. over the 305th at La Tech, first, before we started this thread. They only have records kept there past 15 years or so. If any posters know Phil Robertson (recommended by previous poster) please ask him to check out this thread. thanks to all for your ideas. looking for start date of when entire corps was sworn in to active duty, probably was spring 1962. If anyone knows start and end date, that would be ideal.
