It's all shite. I think we can agree on that.

First you have to recognize what is happening. Your DNA is fricking with you. For hundreds of thousands of years people with these urges to "sow a few wild oates" have produced more and a wider variety of offspring thus passing down the trait.
Of course the advent of things like birth control, gender equality and the ease/acceptance of divorce have changed the actual outcome of acting on these urges. But the urges still remain and confuse the hell out of people.
(Yes, I just made all that shite up but I think it has validity).
Bottom line is - if you have any friends of family members who have gone through divorces, especially those with young children, you might want consider those situations.
Bottom line is the kids really do tend to suffer because dad and/or mom got "bored". And the couple themselves often don't seem to be happier than they were while they were married. I don't think the outcome is what they anticipated it would be, if they thought ahead at all.
There has been a lot of good advice in this thread (well except that bit about the strap on). Consider it.

I've just noticed that our marriage is kinda boring and going through the motions. We are the typical suburban couple with an SUV and two kids. We go to the mall and eat at chick fila Is this what I have to look to forward to the rest of my life?

There's a very good chance she's hearing all the right things from some guy at work. She's attracted to him but doesn't want to act on the urge because she respects her marriage and , mostly, her kids.
She doesn't respect you as much anymore because you don't communicate. You never listen to her when she tries to open up.
Maybe she's not "bored" like you yet but she will be soon if you don't put in some work.

Just trying to help
Sexually frustrated people are grouchy and I don't like dealing with them. The more people have sex, the better.
