Yep. I lived there for 18 years, moved when I finished high school and never looked back.

I do visit every few months, my grandparents live there and they're getting old (83 this year) so I try to spend as much time with them as I can. I do love the old-time feel of waking up at their house, having coffee with them, and all that. They've mentioned moving to a senior citizen community soon, so I know I don't have many of these visits left.

Sending prayers to Texarkana.

State Line Avenue is there for a reason.

Naaman's bbq is the only good thing about state line ave and Texarkana in general.

You should. Not really sure where I would recommend.
I stay in Baton Rouge because of my doctors. But when I hit 5 years cancer-free (3.5 years to go!) then I'll be out of here if I'm still single. No reason to stay.
Not sure where I will move to. Possibly to Texas, sister and her family are there. Or maybe somewhere new. Friends have suggested TN, so I'm going to go visit there.

I don't know what kind of place you're looking for. I lived in Tyler, TX for a few years and it was peaceful and nice. Would be a great place to raise kids. I was just 23 and wanted something bigger.
