Having grown at a torrid +$754bn last quarter, US debt growth slowed down to zero in the first two months of the current quarter. As the US needs $4 of debt growth for each $1 GDP growth, zero debt growth means -4% GDP growth. Atlanta GDPnow forecasts exactly-4.1% for q1.
