What's the difference with the WRs now?

This is isn't any different than the group we've had for most of the season. I'm genuinely curious why the narrative has become we don't have any weapons yet this wasn't an issue in the middle of the season. Look at the Falcons game with 4 undrafted guys catching TD passes.

Is it the run game not being as productive? Armstead being out?

To me I think Armstead being out and the curious case of not sticking with Ingram seems to be the causes.

The playcalling is horrible and predictable.

I don't know why Payton is doing this.

TreQuan is either still hurt or just regressed massively

I’m not sure if they’re just not getting open or if Drew is deciding where he’s going before the snap but Brees is constantly throwing into double coverage.

I'm guessing having a few weeks of tape on each of them now doesn't help.

I think teams are playing more 2 deep zone and the younger WR are not running good routes against zone. Run the ball until we make them bring a safety into the box.

It looked like Mike was open on the INT. Has Smith lost his confidence?

I think teams have started to figure out a lot of SP’s tendencies and he’s having trouble keeping getting the misdirection/surprise elements that worked so well at the beginning of the season. And now the lack of a 2nd wr threat is highlighted.

That’s certainly how it feels in the moment. Lots of football yet to be determined

There is no difference in the WR’s, they had like 12 catches through 6 games. We’re not running the ball correctly and Armstead is out.
