You don’t think the Bears had bit of info on Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels?
Or Raiders on Jamarcus? Or Chargers on Ryan Leaf? You can never 100% mitigate risk in the NFL. The NFL draft is very much find multiple quality through quantity also.

Colin Powell famously said that you should not wait to make a decision until you have 100% of the information because by then it's usually too late, but also don't take action with less than a 40% chance of being right, essentially advocating for making decisions with a "good enough" amount of information rather than getting bogged down by too much detail.
Referred to as the 40/70 rule.

Unless someone unexpected drops, we need to trade back and get extra 2nds and thirds. And I mean like Graham or Cater possibly McMillian. Someone like that.
