It took Shough 7 years to elevate himself to an average run of the mill QB that never elevated his team to NC threat. For that the saints believe he can be a franchise and championship NFL QB. ??

The Saints are addressing a rebuild… they need young high end talent …yet, on the cheap and need to rid themselves of high priced veterans to address the cap.
In short…. 8-9 wins won’t happen but that would be disastrous per the draft.
We need a quality draft in 2026 with Top 8 type picks in every draft round.
Drafting at 13 Thru 15 position would stall the rebuild.
However, Saints will have a top 8 pick in every round in 2026.
