Salary cap ramifications...

Could that be the reason for this trade? Seems to me it would benefit the Saints to get as many starters on rookie contracts this year to continue to get the team out their hole. They have said they want to make moves to rectify these issues. Maybe acquiring next years first round pick a year early aides in that? I have a very basic knowledge of salary cap but would this be a reason for the trade?
