I want the board collectively to collaborate a means we can collect donations to buy Cincinnati Bengals jerseys and donate them to kids of Cincinnati.

In any case, I would like to start off by offering $50. I know a lot of us may feel $100 may be too steep of a price willing to donate. This way we all can donate whatevfer is comfortable to each individual. It would be awesome if we can have the money to buy 3, 4 or 5 jersys from Saints Talk.

Too often fans are hypocritical thinking that only the people in the NFL have to be the role models, the good citizens, the ones that do good cause they got so much money. I also feel that so many fan bases have supported our Team Gleason foundation, this is a way we can give back.

Any have experiences with a website that we can do this on. I now paypal can be an option, they may take 3% of the fees or whatever.

Bengals are on our Schedule in November so it would be awesome to have this done before then.

I was watching SVP a week or so ago when he talked about Sean Payton's buying 100 jerseys because Payton was so moved by Still's story. That in turn moved SVP to devote his show to promoting fundraising for chidren's cancer by buying Stills jersys.

SVP said that non Bengels fans who wanted to help could have the jerseys sent to Bengals headquarters to be distributed to sick children in the hospital. This posed a dilemma for me. I didn't want to sit on my arse and do nothing, but I vowed not to buy any NFL merchandise as long as Goodell is commish.

SVP gave me an out by suggesting we could donate directly to Children's Hospital and that's what I did. I didn't donate $100, I gave $50; I think $25 or even $15 would help. The web site is cincinnatichildren's.org and you can donate by clicking on giving. I'm too lazy to fill out so I just called the number, asked for development and gave my credit card.

This is just an option OP. I hope your idea pans out.

ok, so who is devon still. I remember hearing about this, but I think I'm confusing it with the PS player who has a wife or mother with cancer

No doubt those kids in hospital would love jersey; I have a petty streak when it comes to Goodell

A caveat here: I am not sure proceeds from sale of Jeremy Hill jerseys go to cancer hospital. I think only Stills.

do a google search. Dude found out out the blue his 4 yr old daughter has a type of cancer battling for her life. 50/50 chance. he put football on the back burner when he was competing for his career. Bengals kept him on the PS so he can maintain health insurance and letting him try to balance football and being there for his daughter as best he can.

you are encouraging the least charitable man on this planet to donate to charity

I'm interested, all I want to know is who he is...and you tell me to google

that's not how the charity or solicitation game works bro

I'll consider it nonetheless

ugh, fine. send me the link to donate.

To clarify, I am making an investment in my own good fortune...I expect a Saints win, a big one, and both of my fantasy teams to annihilate the two losers I'm playing

SVP was quite impassioned when he encouraged his viewers to help Stills daughter and all children with cancer; you could tell he was genuinely moved by Payton's gesture. I know he has an account on TD. If you are successful in Raising money for the cause, perhaps Rummy or another admin could forward the info to SVP who might further the cause by giving a shoutout to Saints talk fundraising. Kinda self serving, I know, but I love the SVP connection to TD. He really gets TD, all the good, not so good and the crazy.
