They'll be a fight after the game, with Steve Smith and Shockey getting their asses whipped.

Why didn't we line up and spike it, then get the FG team on?

4th down

FWIW, we would have gotten it out on time.

I wondered why the refs were blowing the whistle with two seconds left. Looked like we would have gotten the snap off with one second.

Jeff Duncan
Panthers had 12 men on the field, called timeout to prevent penalty. Saints couldn't spike ball because it was fourth down.

A personal foul is a personal foul, doesn't matter when it happened, it's a dead ball foul.

frickin refs are garbage

The only thing I could see with Carolina is that they had 12 men on the field again and were trying to save a penalty.

How the hell is a headbutt by the defensive player clearly in front of the official not a personal foul?

I'm happy for the points and the Saints are playing well, but really? That was ten times more physical than the "dancing".

Whatever. 20-13.

This is a fun game because of all the emotion. These teams really don't like each other. More like a college game.

You have to assume that they had more than 11 on the field, which isn't very unlikely with the mayhem that happened with that FG team substitution

we need a TD coming out to take control of this game. hopefully the defense plays their usual shut down second half D.

I hope this halftime calms things down. The emotions of this game are keeping Carolina in it IMO.

Take the ball in the second half and drive down for a TD, up 14 before they get the ball back.

Shockey was not kicked off the Saints. He was asked to take a paycut that was legitimately reasonable to ask for by the Saints, and he chose to go to the Panthers.

He cared more to get overpaid, which is fine, but needs to stop acting like a bitch.

They didn't say no penalty for 12 men. They said no personal foul. There's no reason for a dead ball foul to be waved off because they called a timeout.
