I understand why a Saints fan would not like or get tired of hearing "Matty Ice" and all of that. But, let us be objective for a bit. is Matt Ryan a top 5 QB in the league? No. Is he as good as Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers? No. Is he the most over rated QB in the NFL? No.
He's only played three seasons. It usually takes a new QB 2-3 seasons before they are even ready to start. Bottom line is he wins football games. Just because you do not like a team or a nickname doesn't mean they are the most over rated QB in the NFL. Take the blinders off.

I hate the falcons just as much as the next guy. Hate everything about them. But i do not mind Mat Ryan. He isnt my favorite guy in the NFL or anything but hes not a bad guy. Fvck Roddy White!!!!!!!

This is precisely why no one outside of GA can stand him. He has only played three years, and being pretty good in 3 years, every falcon fan just assumes he is going to blow up into dan marino or peyton manning...this is why he is overhyped...ESPN is just waiting to annoint him and has done so prematurely several times...who is to say he has not reached his ceiling or that he might regress...
BTW, "matty ice" is the lamest nickname in all of sports...BAR NONE. Someone's nickname could be "9/11" or "katrina" or "hitler" and Matty ice would still be the worst fricking nickname...especially when you consider what a dork he is.

I agree with this nickhole;
And I am a diehard Saints fan. Don't hate Matt Ryan, hate the media. They are the ones that are building him up, not Matt himself.
It does usually take at least 2 or 3 years for a QB to start living up to his expectations. See Drew Brees.
I do hate the Falcons though, in a rivalry sort of way...

In fact, the most statistically similar QB at this age to Sanchez is Tony Banks. If the Jets had Matt Ryan at QB they'd be unbeatable.
